#Tesla #ChevroletChevrolet vs Tesla: Chevvy Slams Leading Brand For EV Development? : Tesla might be the leading brand (apparently because of the launching a wave of electric cars) but the study shows that Chevrolet is still the expert in the auto industry, especially when it comes to the development of electric vehicles.

According to the data obtained by USA Today, the Chevrolet Bolt EV is better than the upcoming Tesla Model 3. The new Chevvy model is expected to be in dealerships before the year ends, while the Model 3 will be out next year.

The details revealed that Chevrolet Bolt reached 238 miles on a single charge while Tesla Model 3 is only expected to reach at least 215 miles per charge. But there is another concern that Tesla may want to reconsider.

Since the Bolt EV will be launched earlier, there is a possibility that car owners will look at the model and buy it instead of waiting for the Model 3 to come. Besides, the public has been more excited about the electric SUV, the Model Y than the upcoming product.

General Motors President in North America Alan Batey claimed that the upcoming Chevrolet Bolt EV is a game changer for the company. “Chevrolet showed the world the production version Bolt EV earlier this year and in a few short months we’ve moved from that vision to a reality,” quotes UPI.

Additionally, Kelley Blue Book analyst Karl Brauer stated that the upcoming electric vehicle would be the “first real electric car in the history of the automobile.

“Now the Bolt arrives with a real-world range and real-world price,” Brauer says. “This combination doesn’t guarantee success, but it will finally put EV technology to a real-world test in appealing to real-world, mainstream consumers.”

The electric car will have a tag price of $37,500, also known as one of the first mass-priced vehicles. But will Tesla be able to surpass the success of the traditional carmaker? Let’s find out what would CEO Elon Musk thinks about this. Source: autoworldnews
