Samsung Galaxy S9 Could Go Beyond Just Waterproof

#GalaxyS9 #Samsung – Samsung Galaxy S9 Could Go Beyond Just Waterproof : It’s somewhat ironic that with the troubles that Samsung has had with the Galaxy Note 7 and fire that Samsung continues to work to make its products even more water resistant. While the Galaxy S9, presumably Samsung’s flagship handset in 2018, is a long ways away, rumors are swirling about what it may offer.

A good year minus those pesky Galaxy Note 7s catching fire and massive recall

I don’t wish to belabour the point too much but the fact that the Galaxy Note 7 has caused both injury, property damage and has largely been banned from airlines, Samsung has had a decent year. Most smartphone reviewers place it at the top of their wish lists in the sector and many, myself included, believe it to be the best smartphone on the market and leaps and bounds beyond the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6 Plus that were unveiled about a half a year prior to the release of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at the Mobile World Conference early this year.

However, and again, having your flagship phablet giving users the impression that they are walking around with a potential hand grenade is something that demanded a recall of roughly 2.5 million devices. While that recall was certainly voluntary, it was not something that Samsung wanted and will haunt the company for the foreseeable future.

That said, the world’s attention span is near certainly shorter in this mobile and digital age and it won’t bury the company by any means. In fact, I was writing earlier today about the rumors swirling around the Galaxy S8 that may or may not be moved forward based on the disaster that has been the Galaxy Note 7 and troubles with Chinese media over China’s place in that recall.

I’ll admit I was excited just writing about rumors today despite including the fires.

I mean a  5.2-inch 4K display, with a 3.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 6GB of RAM and other bells and whistles is exciting.

But then I came upon a few rumors about the Galaxy S9.

Galaxy S9 too feature a brand new innovative screen coating

Samsung’s flagship phones have been water-resistant for some time with Apple finally joining them this month. But neither of this companies have screen coatings are meant to “actively repel liquid.”
