#Microsoft #SurfacePro5 – Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date, specs: tablet to don Kaby Lake processor and tweaked Windows 10 OS? : There is still no word from Redmond-based software and hardware maker Microsoft regarding their much-awaited ultraportable device, the Surface Pro 5. Once released, the undisclosed 2-in-1 device is expected to be one of the most powerful handheld devices that can easily go up against other counterparts.
As previously reported, the tablet is likely to be presented to the public sometime this October. However, the renowned tech giant hasn’t given any statement yet about upcoming events.
Meanwhile, some tech pundits have theorized that Microsoft could be preparing to unveil a rather different hardware in which some are betting on the company’s other hyped contraption, their all-in-one (AIO) computer which is called the Surface PC.
Another thing to consider is the fact that Microsoft is as of late waiting for Intel’s latest processor known as the Kaby Lake. The chip is expected to be mass produced later this year. With that given, it can be assumed that the tablet might finally be spotted in 2017.
Aside from the upcoming chipset, it was also publicized previously that the company is tweaking yet again their current Windows 10 operating system. The update dubbed as Redstone 2 is also scheduled to be released and fully operational by next year.
In the event that a Surface Pro 5 comes to fruition, the hybrid could arrive with 4K support together with a 16 and 8-megapixel back and front-facing snapper, respectively.
Moreover, the latest iteration could be carrying a massive 16 GB of random access memory (RAM) with varying makes of the aforementioned Kaby Lake chip in which the premium version of the tablet could be offered at a steep $1,600.
It may well seem that Microsoft will remain mum about the release of their now overhyped Surface devices. Fans, on the other hand, will have to stay tuned for the latest news about the Surface Pro 5. Source: Vinereport
