#NintendoNX #Gaming – Nintendo NX news report of the day: Reddit link posted for Google October 4 Event : Google’s huge launch event kicks off later today, with the company expected to reveal the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones alongside the Chromecast 4K and some advanced software.
The event is set to be Google’s highest-profile launch for some time, as it looks to establish itself as a major player in both the device and OS market. While there are already a lot of ideas of what Google might reveal, one unusual idea has now been thrown into the pot.
The Google event will feature a full livestream on YouTube, which apparently showed off a big Nintendo reference when it first went live. A supposed screengrab of it was caught and posted on the Nintendo NX Reddit, with the words: “Dawn of The Final Day – 24 Hours Remain -,” featuring prominently.
A direct message from the hugely successful Nintendo 64 title Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, it makes for a delightful hint, or teasing fake.
While Nintendo showed off their new Mario Run game with Apple, could they do the same with another one of their mobile titles, this time coming to Android first?
It is currently unclear if this can be treated any better than a joke, and it seems highly unlikely that Nintendo will show off their new NX console during the event. To do that would suggest some kind of big tie-in between the two companies and there has been no discernible link found apart from shared investment in Pokemon Go developer, Niantic.
There was a rumour earlier in 2016 that stated the Nintendo NX reveal would show it running on the Android platform, however, a Nintendo spokesperson has since denied this claim. The Zelda reference has since spawned a big discussion on Reddit on what possibilities this theoretical partnership could throw together.
