#OnePlusX #Playstore – Google Play Store Not Working On Your OnePlus X After The Marshmallow Update? Here’s The Fix : The OnePlus X has had a notoriously bad history with updates. The phone runs a modified version of Android called Oxygen OS and the updates have been very few and far in between.
It’s been over a month since Android 7.0 Nougat was released, and yet until a few days ago, the phone was still on Android 5.1 Lollipop despite it having decent specs. Finally, a few days ago, the OxygenOS 3.1.3 update which is based on Marshmallow.
The update has started rolling out incrementally, meaning it will be rolled out to a small portion of users at the start but will gradually be rolled out to a broader spectrum.
There is one issue however that has been causing problems for some users and it’s been reported by a large number of users. After the update, many users are reporting that their device simply fails to open the Play Store.
This is a major bug which can interfere with a lot of operations. Fortunately, this is a known issue and OnePlus has provided a temporary workaround until the issue is resolved.
The problem is being caused by the Google+ application. To fix the issue, all you need to do is to disable the application. To do this, launch the Settings app on your device and tap on Settings.
From here, find and select the Google+ application and then tap the disable button. Following this, reboot your device. And that’s it. Once your device reboots, the Play Store should start functioning normally. Source: thecountrycaller
