Rumours surrounding the latest generation of Microsoft devices have been swirling around this week after pictures of Surface-branded keyboards and mouse were leaked online.

These devices were thought to be set to ship with the all-in-one desktop Surface PC – although some have speculated that it could instead be a range of peripherals designed to be used alongside the existing Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book.

Microsoft revealed the original Surface Book laptop back in October 2015, meaning that the product is ripe for a refresh.

Sources have claimed that Microsoft is quietly experimenting with a swathe of traditional form factors that could be Surface-branded.

The Redmond technology firm is also reportedly working on an all-in-one desktop computer under the Surface branding, that will be released later this year. The desktop hardware would be a powerful alternative to the Surface Book, which was the first laptop computer designed and built entirely by Microsoft.
