Microsoft Surface Book 2 release date, specs: 2-in-1 laptop to compete with MacBook Pro 2016

#Microsoft #SurfaceBook2Microsoft Surface Book 2 release date, specs: 2-in-1 laptop to compete with MacBook Pro 2016 : The fact that Microsoft already confirmed the once-rumored Oct.26 big event by sending out invitations to the press is one good proof that the company is taking a very aggressive stance in terms of hardware manufacturing.

The American software giant isn’t known for this and hasn’t really been successful especially in building mobile devices using its Windows operating system. But all that could change when the company unveils the Surface Book 2.

Although more eyes are turned towards the fancied Microsoft Surface Phone, the second-generation Surface Book deserves the hype, too, and this is because it reportedly will be released sooner than expected to be able to compete with the likes of the MacBook Pro 2016, according to iTechPost.

Back when rumors about a new Surface Book first emerged, a lot of people were surprised considering that it was never in any forecast for the company. Well, it’s only been a year since the first 2-in-1 laptop was released, but Microsoft’s sudden decision to bring in a new one means it is taking the fight to Apple and its MacBook line.

At this point, it’s hard to fathom how a Windows 10 2-in-1 computer will be able to compete with the already established and very popular MacBook Pro line.

Well, for starters, Microsoft needs to give it a price that’s significantly lower than the projected price of the MacBook Pro 2016. If the Surface Book 2 fails to do that; then consumers will simply go for the Apple product instead.

Features wise, the Surface Book 2 could potentially make itself a worthy competition, provided it can be equipped with the best hardware technology has to offer, including the latest seventh-generation Kaby Lake processor from Intel, a 4K resolution for the display, USB Type-C connectivity, significantly better battery life, and the latest Windows 10 operating system.
