#GalaxyS8 #Samsung – Rumor: Huge Hardware Changes Expected For Galaxy S8 : The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was a pretty great smartphone, with reviewers and critics alike heaping praise upon the device, that is until reports regarding Galaxy Note 7 units catching on fire started to emerge.

Now, with the Galaxy Note 7 finally dead, after Samsung decided to permanently halt production and stop selling the device, more attention is being given to Samsung’s upcoming flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S8 which is slated to be released in the Spring next year.

If Samsung is going to win back its customers after the whole Galaxy Note 7 disaster, it will need to go big with the Galaxy S8, and get it right this time. With that, it is reported that the Galaxy S8 will be released with huge upgrades in terms of hardware.

It has been said that the South Korean company is aiming to put hardware and functions which have never been seen on a smartphone before, into its upcoming flagship. Some of the rumored upgrades will be a display which will cover the entire screen, meaning it will be a bezel-free display, and not just the sides like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, the entire front will be covered with a display.

The company will be doing this by eliminating the physical home button, but it is still unknown what kind of technology will be used to replace its function. With the new display, images and videos will look sharper than before, and content will have a 3D effect.

When it comes to the cameras, it has been rumored that the Galaxy S8 will be Samsung’s first smartphone to come with dual cameras which will be in separate modules, increasing the costs needed to manufacture this device.

The setup is said consist of a 16-megapixel shooter, and the other will be an 8-megapixel shooter. Under the hood, the Galaxy S8 is expected to come with the yet to be announced, Snapdragon 830 System-on-Chip, and a second variant will come with an Exynos chipset, depending on the market.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to be launched just before, or during MWC 2017 which is set to take place in Barcelona next year. Source: androidheadlines
