#Antivirus #Windows10 – Antivirus Apps Could Block Installation of Latest Windows 10 Redstone 2 Build : There’s one known issue, however, which could really cause problems for a number of insiders trying to install it: third-party antivirus software could block this build due to a bug that Microsoft has already acknowledged and is working on fixing already.
“If you have 3rd party antivirus products such as Bitdefender, Kaspersky Antivirus, F-Secure Antivirus and Malwarebytes installed on your PC – your PC might not be able to complete the update to this build and roll-back to the previous build,” the company says.
So if you are indeed using any of these antivirus solutions, the safest way to install this build is to remove it before launching the installer. Otherwise, the process would not complete, and the system would reboot to the previous build.
“Large games failing to launch”
There’s also another bug in this build which causes large games downloaded from the Windows Store to fail to launch, according to the company itself.
“Larger Windows Store games such as ReCore, Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Killer Instinct and Rise of the Tomb Raider may fail to launch.” No workaround is available this time, and unfortunately, you won’t be able to play the games if you’re experiencing this bug.
As usual, such bugs are more or less likely to be expected given the fact that these are preview builds of Windows 10 Redstone 2, and you kind of agreed with it when becoming part of the Windows Insider program.
In most cases, the known bugs are fixed in the next build, so hopefully, the same will happen this time, and you’ll be able to play large games once again when an update is released. Source: softpedia
