#XboxOne #PS4 – Xbox One vs PS4: Microsoft Wins Sales Battle For Third Month In A Row : The Xbox One vs PS4 battle isn’t new. PlayStation vs. Nintendo 64, Xbox vs. PlayStation 2, Sega Dreamcast vs. itself, these are some of the most important battles in video game history.
The console wars have been going strong for over two decades, pitting countless systems against each other that claimed to be the next generation of the gaming. The current war between Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4 has been all Sony since the launch, but Microsoft appears to be gaining momentum.
For the third consecutive month the Xbox One has managed to outsell the PlayStation 4 and the Wii U (no shit) in the United States. With extreme price cuts to its major system and the introduction of Microsoft’s newest console, the Xbox One S, the console with the green “s” has been outshining its competition. But this comeback might be coming to an end.
Microsoft might only have until November when the 4k PlayStation Pro and the PlayStation VR are finally put on the market together.. I had a ton of fun playing around with the VR headset and expect the peripheral to boost Sony’s console sales. Early reviews are promising
In a statement to Gamesbeat , Microsoft said: “thanks to our fans, Xbox One was the best-selling console in September in the U.S. for the third month in a row according to NPD Group as well as the best-selling console in September in the U.K. according to GfK Entertainment UK.
In addition, Xbox One was the only gen eight console to see year-over-year growth in September in the U.S., Australia, the U.K., and many other countries worldwide.
This success was driven by our fans and their support for Xbox One S, which is the only console available this holiday with built-in UHD 4K Blu-ray, 4K video streaming and HDR for gaming and video.” The Xbox One is the only console I have, so hopefully I can keep feeling superior about my choice of console for at least a few more months.
