#Samsung #GearS3 – Samsung Gear S3 release date, price and secret new feature REVEALED : Samsung unveiled its latest tech timepiece at the IFA tech show last month and the Korean tech firm will be hoping the Gear S3 can end a torrid time for the company.
Its flagship Note 7 smartphone was recently removed from sale after a number of devices caught fire. Luckily for Samsung it seems that its Gear S3 could be one of the most impressive smartwatches to ever land on the wrists of tech fans.
This new watch, which comes in two styles, has plenty of new features including water resistant design, in-built GPS and the ability to make contactless payments. There’s also Samsung’s iconic rotating bezel, which allows users to navigate the apps and messages on the 1.3inch circular AMOLED display, and a 4-day battery life.
All of these features were shown off at Samsung’s launch event but it seems there was something the company didn’t reveal. A report from SamMobile suggests that Samsung is looking to help users hook up their smartwatch with a Gear VR headset for in-app control.
Users could flip through a gallery using the rotating bezel on the watch, or use the same method to input words or numbers. This rumour hasn’t been confirmed by Samsung but it could be a useful addition to its VR technology.
For those who fancy the new Gear S3 Classic and S3 Frontier sports watch there’s still no official launch date. Although Samsung is showing the device on its website it’s not yet availbale on the online store.
Daily Star Online is expecting the two Gear S3 devices to go on sale before the end of the year with prices rumoured to start from £349. Apple recently unveiled its new Apple Watch 2 which is waterproof and now includes in-built GPS. This new Apple Watch is already in shops and Samsung certainly won’t want to wait too long to take on their arch rivals. Source: dailystar
