#Microsoft #SurfacePhoneMicrosoft Surface Phone release date, news & update: Switch apps from handset to PC without losing continuity : The Windows 10 event is scheduled to be held on Oct. 26 and fans are expecting that Microsoft will reveal something about the highly-anticipated Surface Phone.

The phone has become an obsession for tech enthusiasts mainly because of numerous reports revealing unconfirmed specs about the device. Microsoft has not confirmed anything as of now and has neither confirmed nor denied the future phone.

Latest reports have however revealed that the Surface Phone is in the works and may be soon announced by Microsoft Corporation, writes NEUROGADGET. Fans are also excited as reports suggest that the Microsoft Surface Phone will have a Continuum mode.

The phone is meant to be for hardcore professionals. One plausible reason for the delay in the release of the Surface Phone is the next big update to the Windows operating system, codenamed Windows 10 Redstone 2.

The update is set to be released in spring 2017. As per Windows Central’s Zac Bowden, the Redstone 2 update will allow the Surface Phone sync with the PC. The phone with the Redstone 2 update will in all probability include the “Continue App Experiences” feature that will allow users to sync app-states from phone to PC.

Another feature that may also be present in the Microsoft Surface Phone is the “ Pickup Where I Left Off” feature or the “Flow” feature. This feature will allow users to switch between apps on the Surface Phone and continue working from the same spot on the PC.

As per The Bitbag, the Microsoft Surface Phone could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor. A massive internal storage capacity and RAM will reportedly make the phone super-fast. Although it is difficult to say if the Microsoft Surface Phone will be able to compete with the Apple iPhone 7 or not, it definitely has all the specs and features to turn heads. Source: ibtimes
