Microsoft Band 3 In The Works? New Wearable Rumored To Feature EKG, RFID Support, Waterproof Body?

#Microsoft #Band3Microsoft Band 3 In The Works? New Wearable Rumored To Feature EKG, RFID Support, Waterproof Body? : Microsoft has recently discontinued the production of its Brand 2 fitness tracker, which made fans doubt of having the Microsoft Band 3 or the whole Band line in the future.

However, Techradar reported that Microsoft Band 3 might be “in the works” after “a user by the name of FUD Hater on the Windows Central forum posted images of what they claim is (or rather, was) the Microsoft Band 3.”

The user reportedly stated that the wearable is waterproof for the first time which is designed for swimmers, tracked blood pressure with built-in EKG and radio frequency identification (RFID) support.

Moreover, the overall design of the device is said to be almost similar to its predecessor, only that the Microsoft Band 3 has a new clasp mechanism and has a slimmer design which is more comfortable to wear. The Band 3 is said to beat other wearables with its array of sensors including the Band 2 which features, heartrate tracker, galvanic skin response, UV, skin temperature and GPS.

The device, however, is still a mystery since the leaker has not revealed its source, mentioning NDA concerns. In a statement released by Microsoft as reported by The Verge, it says that the company is still “deeply committed to supporting customers and exploring the wearables space.”

However, Microsoft has “no plans to release another Band device this year,” as reported by Techradar. According to Wearable, Microsoft might have ended their “Band Series.”

“At this point we get the feeling Microsoft has halted the Band series, given the Band team appear to have dispersed into other projects. The leaker of these new shots doesn’t give anything away, but theorises that Microsoft has indeed called it a day, or that some of these ideas may one day resurface in another wearable.”

Microsoft is yet to give its official statement regarding its rumored Band 3. However, a spokesperson told Wearable that they “do not comment on rumor or speculation.” Source: mobilenapps
