#GooglePixelXL #LGV20 – Google Pixel XL VS LG V20 In Speed Test [Video] : The Google Pixel XL is one of two phones that Google has recently released. It is Google’s latest smartphone effort and it comes packing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, the latest chipset from Qualcomm which offers improvements over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 820 which has found its way into many a flagship phone in 2016.
One of those flagship phones is the LG V20, so the question is how does the Pixel XL fare against a phone that has slightly older tech in it? That’s what the folks at PhoneBuff are trying to figure out when they pit both the Pixel XL and LG V20 against each other. For those who can’t be bothered to watch the entire video, spoiler alert as the Pixel XL manages to pull ahead in terms of speed, at least at the start.
The Pixel XL manages to successfully complete the first lap in 1 minute and 36 seconds, while the LG V20 took 1 minute 43 seconds, although to be fair it isn’t exactly lagging too far behind. However come the second lap, it seems that in terms of memory management, the LG V20 is handling it much better.
The phone completes the second lap in 2 minutes and 27 seconds, while the Pixel XL took 2 minutes and 57 seconds, widening the gap considerably. This is actually not the first time that the Pixel XL has lost to its “older” competition, like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It also lost to Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus. However this is by no means an indication that the Pixel phones are bad. Chances are in real-life usage you might not even be able to tell the difference, so as long as you’re happy with it, who’s to tell you otherwise?
