#LG #Ultrafine4K – LG Ultrafine 4K Displays Have Already Begun To Ship : For customers who have pre-ordered the LG Ultrafine displays, according to a report from MacRumors, it seems that the 4K version of the monitor is already starting to ship out to customers. One of their readers has received a notification informing them that the displays are expected to arrive as early as next week.
Note that this is only for the 4K version of the monitor. The 5K LG Ultrafine displays aren’t available yet, but hopefully they will be made available soon. For those who missed the announcement, the LG Ultrafines are basically Apple’s new Thunderbolt Displays. Instead of making their own, Apple has instead teamed up with LG who made these monitors specifically for Apple’s computers.
Of course it is entirely possible to use them with other devices, but like we said they were created for the new MacBooks in mind, so in terms of getting the best out of the display, the MacBooks are probably more poised to be able to take full advantage of it. We should also remind our readers that in response to the complaints of the new MacBooks being so expensive, Apple is currently holding a sale on the displays.
The company has discounted both the 4K and 5K models by as much as 25%, and they have also discounted other USB-C related accessories and dongles to reduce the impact of the costs of the new laptops. The offer is expected to run until the end of the year, so there’s still time if you want to take advantage of it.
