#LGG5 #AndroidNougatLG G5 Android Nougat Update Begins Roll-Out : Folks in South Korea are now receiving the LG G5 Android Nougat update that brings a ton of new features to the smartphone. The rest of the world should see the update delivered to their devices in a few weeks.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update for LG G5 makes it the first smartphone, apart from Google smartphones, to get the Nougat update. Its other device, the LG V20, was the first smartphone to ship with Android Nougat.

According to a Press Release from LG, the update brings a lot of new features and improvements to the modular G5. The update allows users to search from within any app, which is sort of like a universal search. Then there is the new multi-window feature that should improve multi-tasking.

Google has also improved several aspects of the mobile OS, including Notifications, personalized Settings, Quick Shortcuts and more. Improvements to battery life via the Doze feature is also present. However, LG will still have some of its own apps baked in to the OS, but it is supposedly much better than what came with the G5. There will be plenty of bug fixes, performance improvements and changes to the interface.

Release Date for LG G5 Android 7.0 Nougat Software

The Press Release from LG did not shine much light on when other markets would get the Android Nougat software update. AndroidCentral reported that it may take some time for LG to deploy the update to the other markets, as it depends on the region and carrier.

People in South Korea have already started to receive the LG G5 Android Nougat update. Those who have not received it yet, can head over to Settings>About Phone>Software Update to check for the update manually.
