#SurfaceStudio #Desktop – Microsoft’s Surface Studio Proved How Desktops Can Be Cool; Find out How : Released this year, the Microsoft Surface Studio is an awe-inspiring piece of hardware that has the potential to revolutionize future design concepts for desktop computers.
Ultrathin laptops are cool, but what if one can have an ultrathin desktop computer that is bold and innovative and unlike any other all-in-one PC’s currently out in the market? The Microsoft Surface Studio is one such hardware, give it a little nudge and it bends and transforms into a hi-tech drafting panel.
The $3,000 Microsoft Surface Studio is a bold attempt that makes us see and use computers, according to Engadget. Its innovative approach introduced us to yet another new piece of hardware called the Surface Dial that works in conjunction with its 28-inch touch display.
Not only does it have the power to process what the creators do, simply looking at it speaks elegance in simplicity. The display outputs a sharp 4,500 x 3,000 at 13 million pixel resolution. And all the hardware is located at its slim base.
According to The Verge aside from its creative assets, the Microsoft Surface Studio is a PC at heart. The slim base houses all its components that include a sixth-generation quad-core Intel Core i7 CPU, 2TB Rapid Hybrid Drive, 32GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M Graphics card.
The card is actually a letdown for some since there are newer and more powerful GPU’s that were released prior to the Surface Studio, but who knows, maybe Microsoft will find a way to upgrade the system in its next iteration.
Designed as a creative workhorse, the Microsoft Surface Studio is not, first and foremost a gaming PC, but nonetheless, games like “Gears of War” or “Forza Horizon 3” can be played in it, just stay off the higher game settings. Source: universityherald
