#Windows10 #Windows10ProblemFive Common Windows 10 Problems And Their Solutions : Windows 10 was released in mid-2015 but many are still reluctant to let go of their Windows 7 (forget the 8.1 version).

Those who still don’t belong to the 350 million strong Windows 10 users all over the world may want to rethink their life choices. They can begin with updating to the latest Widows OS.

But for every new tech – software or hardware – there will always be a few problems encountered. Here is a short list of Windows 10 problems and their respective solutions:

Lack of Space to Install Windows 10

This one is more of a reminder than a problem solver. Updating to Windows 10 requires space – lots of it. Laptops and desktops recently released already have Windows 10 installed in them so some of the issues listed here may no longer matter. To install Windows 10, 16GB of space is necessary. Go to My Computer or This PC to see the remaining space. This figure will give the user an idea on how much GB he or she needs to get rid before installing the new OS.

Printer Compatibility Issues

Transitioning from Windows 7 to 10 also requires updating the printer drivers. To do this, find out the printer’s name and download the drivers compatible with Windows 10. Install the according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Missing Bookmarks and Favorites

Newbies to Windows 10 will notice that their old Favorites and Bookmarks are gone. This is because there is a new browser in the Microsoft Edge. To get these back, click on the three dots on the top tight hand corner and then click on Settings. Look for ‘Import favorites on another browser’ or ‘Import bookmarks and settings’ and then click on it. This will bring over all the previous data from the previous browser. Open Control Panel and go to Performance Settings. Go to the Advanced Settings tab and select Just Appearance and Performance Windows. De-select ‘Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers’ then click Custom Size to make the necessary changes.

Updating Old Software

Windows 10 comes with some backward compatibility issues. As with other OS, transitioning to a new one can cause some applications to stop working. The only solution so far is to delete the software and reinstall it. But before doing that, users can try looking for an update of that software in Windows Store.

Microsoft continues to release updates on Windows 10 and only time will tell if these five issues will be a thing of the past. Source : itechpost
