#Samsung #GalaxyS8 – Samsung Galaxy S8 Specs, Rumors, Release Date: What We Know So Far : For Samsung, the last few months of 2016 has been a struggle, even hellish to some extent. The company was plagued by a series of recalls on some of its products with most attention given the the Galaxy Note 7. On the phone alone, Samsung spent around more than $5 billion on recalls and has lost billions more on market shares.
Because of this, the company is now putting all its efforts in redeeming its name and regaining lost loyalists. What better way of doing this than by releasing the next flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S8.
To date, there have been many rumors of the purported mobile device from Samsung. Among the long list of rumors is its expected release to the public.
Initial reports suggest that Samsung is planning on releasing the said phone sometime during the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Spain. To some extent, this has been a tradition for the Galaxy line of phones.
If this rumor is true, the release date would between the end of February to the beginning of March. However, in light of recent events, Samsung is said to be reconsidering the late February launch.
This is because Samsung wants to be absolutely sure that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will not have the same problems as the Note 7. According to earlier reports, Samsung is pushing for a late April launch for the phone.
Also from the said report, Samsung will use the two-month delay to perform more tests on the phone before its release. This will hopefully be enough for the company to assure the public of the phone’s safety.
A few weeks ago, Samsung and Qualcomm announced the partnership for the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. According to reports, the two companies have started the mass production of the chip sometime in October. This news led many to believe that Samsung will be using the upcoming Snapdragon 835 on the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Other known rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 is the bigger screen. It would seem that the company is considering a bigger-than-usual screen size for the entry level version. According to sources, the standard Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch display instead of 5.5 inches.
In addition to this, Samsung will also release a much bigger version that is rumored to be called a “Plus” model. Some sources report that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have at least 6GB of RAM and a minimum of 128GB of storage. Source: thebitbag
