On August 24, 2016, a massive earthquake struck and destroyed homes and properties in Central Italy. A disaster that left families in fear and sadness, at least 247 people were killed and thousands were injured during the incident.

Italy’s most prominent car manufacturer, Ferrari, sets out to help as they build another LaFerrari to be auctioned as a means to raise funds for those that were affected by the earthquake.

A Limited Edition Ferrari LaFerrari Will Be Created For Auctioning
The LaFerrari is a hybrid car manufactured by Italian automaker, Ferrari. The car is one of the fastest road cars the company has ever produced. The car’s combined engine, a V12, and a hybrid electric motor produces a staggering 949horse power.

It is one of the rare and most expensive cars in the market as only 499 units were produced and each sold for a base price of $1.4 million dollars.

According to Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Ferrari, they would build another LaFerrari to be auctioned off. This will be the five hundredth unit and will be different from the other 499 units.

The LaFerrari will have the trademark color, Ferrari Red livery and will be having a black interior. It will include a special commemorative plaque and will be the last to come out of Maranello. The Ferrari LaFerrari is capable of reaching zero to 60 miles in less than three seconds.
