#Intel #Car – Intel plans to make core i7 for autonomous cars : The new car specific chips might be announced by Intel in CES. Intel has been working on its technology to make its better from the past many years. This time they are going to work on their PC processors to adapt the new market of autonomous cars technology.

It was announced earlier that MobilEye and Intel have joined hands in order to work on the self-driving technology. MobilEye was a former partner of Tesla Motors and worked on its Auto pilot system of the cars. These days MobilEye is working with Delphi on the self-driving technology.

It is being said that Intel is considering to put a core i7 in self-driving cars as the primary means of controlling the cars. The company is planning to make core i7 the brain behind the self-driving technology of new cars.

Apparently they are planning to use core i7 with the EyeQ chips that offered by MobilEye for self-driving cars. It is also speculated that Intel might introduce a powerful and unnamed processor in the CES 2017 which is going to be held in Las Vegas in January.

Along with this, Intel also announced a commitment of $250 million for self-driving technology. The company actually wants to make the fully autonomous driving system reality in coming future.

Intel and MobiEye have also signed a contract to work with BMW to help the self-driving cars on road by year 2021.

As more and more companies are looking forward to self-driving technology, the market of its technology is getting essential attention too. This is the reason that tech giants are focusing on the technology to get the right kind of platform on board.
